The “extra tall” hind boots are designed to offer additional support for the upper suspensory ligament which attaches to the cannon bone right below the point of the hock.
Measure For Boot Size
Most average sized performance horses will wear a medium. Some horses will wear a medium in front and a large behind.
Small – 8.5 – 9.5 in.
Medium – 9.5 – 10.5 in.
Large – 10.5 – 11.5 in.
Measure your horse to make sure you order the right size. We recommend using a soft tape measure. If you do not have a soft tape measure you can use something like string, wrap it around the fetlock, mark where the end meets the rest of the string and then simply lay it flat next to a ruler.
